Even if the 60s only had Soul & Motown classics like ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ (Supremes), ‘This Old Heart of Mine’ (Isley Brothers), Respect (Aretha Franklin) – I would still choose it as the best decade. BUT – the 60s also has the Rolling Stones, The Beatles and loads of other great British bands. People who weren’t born in the 60s know and love all the songs as well - making 60s music a brilliant choice for parties, especially if you want everyone to dance and have fun.
