My first love – Soul & Motown is the music I grew up listening to and singing from an early age. The music is passionate, lively and great for dancing. From the original timeless Soul numbers like ‘Respect’ and ‘You Can’t Hurry Love’ through classics like ‘We Are Family’ from the 80s, the spirit of Soul carries on into recent hits such as ‘Valerie’ by Amy Winehouse which always fills the floor. Soul & Motown is a fantastic choice for your evening party. My Soul/Motown set also works great as an upbeat second set for dancing when combined with a first half of Swing or Ratpack to build the atmosphere.
